We are a committee of volunteers who are learning about planning issues in our community. We want to provide informed citizens' input to current planning projects and are also preparing to promote public participation in the development of a Community Development Plan for Waimea. Development of such locally-directed plans is encouraged in the recently adopted (2005) Hawaii County General Plan. Our name is Waimea Community Development Plan Committee. We are just getting organized. Please join us.
There is lots to do and room for everyone on our committee. If you want to have some fun before you volunteer, please consider taking one of the free Myer-Briggs personality tests that are available on the web. It will only take a few minutes and the results will help you choose a role on the committee. There is a free version of the test.
